The waiting game.
So, I’m convinced that the waiting part of this whole thing is the worst. Here we have everything turned in — a ton of things might I add: passport copies, diplomas, resume, personal statement, pictures of ourselves, pictures of ourselves with others, two letters of recommendation, etc — and still not have heard a word. Granted, the deadline is not even until this Friday, but the suspense is killing me.
This is how I have been spending my time: working. sleeping. volunteer to babysit my old roommate’s dog. checking my grade online. sleeping. playing softball. running. checking my grade online. checking my email. playing iPhone games. sleeping. checking my grade online. daydreaming. working. sleeping. AND REPEAT.
It’s hard because I keep saying “I’m going to Thailand” when in fact, it is no where near 100% confirmed. I even made a count down today to my last day of work (~126 days). If I know one thing for sure, its that I want more than anything to be overseas teaching. I’ve even gone onto the teach abroad website to see if my status has changed. Nope. Still “in review”. I’m dying. Really I think I just need some confirmation that my life will be changing so I have something to look forward to.
Anyway, there’s not a whole lot of substance to this post except to point out that I have no new news. Soooo… I will let you know if and when anything changes. -Kyle
